A two month excursion to a handful of National parks morphed into an 8 month cross-country COVID experience. From Congaree to the Great Smokey Mountains, we were shut out of an underground tour in Mammoth Cave then crying with a bag pipe playing Irish bartender in Hot Springs before high tailing it to Barksdale AFB where we sheltered in place for 2 months. North to Teddy Roosevelt then west to Glacier, we kept on to exhaust every inch of Washington State and doubled back through Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Cheyenne to artsy Taos. It was an affair to remember.
